Are you raising funds or awareness for Congo, Sudan and other genocides happening across the world?
Please reach out to events@bluestockings.com so we can support your efforts in whichever ways it makes sense. whether itās holding event(s), re-posting your social media posts, or something else we collaborate and brainstorm on.
With enough interest, weād love to host a day of awareness and panel talks where different orgs can be in community, while providing information to folx on how they can plug in and contribute!

Free crochet workshop all levels welcome! RSVP HERE, working space holds 30 people max! Materials provided! Just show up! There will be cake! @creativesolidarity will be tabling and we will also bring our zines to raise funds for the al-Danaf family!
š Memoir comics workshop - Sunday, June 1 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
Memoir Comics Workshop is a four week course structured to help students mine their lives for creative insights, and acquire tools to craft this material into comics. Each 1.5 hour session, students will participate in in-session warm up drawing, a short lecture and dialogue on memoir comics, and peer and
instructor discussion on out of class assignments.
The workshop will meet on the following days from 5:30-7pm in the back cabin:
** June 1
** June 8
** June 15
** June 22
The final project for this class will be a 1-2 page memoir comic using the ideas and skills learned. Students will keep a daily journal for the duration of the class to provide a space for reflection on ideas, experiences and feelings that can serve as a well of inspiration for their comics.

Participants printed anti-cop, anti-jail, and pro-community artwork on clothing and bags with stencils and silkscreens, and folx were encouraged to donate $ and books to Bluestockings. PC: @bkjailsupport

Creative Solidarity raised $357 in direct sales+donations that have been distributed to Gazan Artist @sundos_morad7 (via @nycunderthesun), two Palestinian families (via @asiancyborg & @promiseofpoppies), & Bluestockings! PC: @creativesolidarity
āļø Have Your Writing Featured in Our Biweekly Newsletter
We are still taking writing submissions from our community to be featured in our biweekly newsletter. New writing prompts will come periodically. Submissions must have a 500 word maximum, each piece will be reviewed, and authors will be notified if their piece is to be featured. Authors that are selected will receive a free coffee/beverage or book!
The Prompt: What does resistance look like to you? Can you recall a specific instance where you witnessed or participated in an act of resistance, and how would you characterize that resistance?

A place where members of our community can submit postings for any community request (i.e. hiring, looking for a job, housing, mutual aid, missed connections) to be featured in our newsletter.
FYI: Newsletters are biweekly so submissions will be posted on the newsletter on a biweekly basis based on when theyāre sent.
